La planta herbácea de hojas grandes puede alcanzar hasta casi 1,0 m de altura.

Las hojas son de color verde claro, anchas, coriáceas, brillantes y con el nervio central oscuro.
Se insertan en un corto corto que pasa desapercibido.

Las hojas nuevas surgen en el centro de la planta, presentándose enrolladas cuando son nuevas.

Modo de cultivo:

Hay un hábito epífito, es decir, crece sobre árboles en sus lugares de origen y podremos explorar este origen para decorar nuestro jardín así, en los troncos de árboles, aplicar un medio vaso conteniendo la planta, también bajo árboles y lugares más sombreados del jardín.

Esta planta no tolera bien temperaturas bajas, siendo adecuado su cultivo para regiones más tropicales y de humedad más elevada.

Cuando usted adquiere la muda, debido a su crecimiento o después de algún tiempo del vaso de cultivo, será necesario cambiar por vaso mayor.
